Greg Kemp

Owner

Greg Kemp has owned My Handyman of Ann Arbor, Saline, and Chelsea since 2012. Greg holds a Michigan Residential Builder’s License and has more than thirty years’ experience in customer service related industries. Greg is very passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience starting with always being available to employing highly skilled, background checked, professional, presentable, and personable Technicians. Greg’s goal is for My Handyman to be your one-stop shop, whether it be a simple task like drywall repair or painting to more complex projects like a bathroom remodel or finishing a basement.

Greg is originally from Texas, where he met his wife Mollie, a fourth generation Ann Arborite. After four years in Phoenix, Mollie convinced Greg to move to Michigan to start a family. Mollie works for Dexter Community Schools and they have two beautiful children.

Blayne Tabor

Operations Manager

Blayne joined our team in 2014 as a Customer Service Representative and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2019. Blayne is responsible for keeping the operation running smoothly, so the right Technicians are in the right place at the right time. Blayne is originally from the Grand Rapids area where he was employed for two years as an Apprentice Electrician before enlisting in the U.S. Army. He served five years including two tours in Afghanistan. Blayne has two very energetic daughters to keep him busy in his spare time.

Brian Taylor

Field Estimator

Brian is our original Technician. Brian has more than 30 years paid experience and earned his Michigan Residential Builder’s License in 1980. Brian is a self-taught carpenter and takes great pride in the quality of his work. Brian has held positions from apartment maintenance to modular structures technician to owning his own home improvement company. Brian likes to brag about building the first SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) house in the State of Michigan. As demand has grown for larger or more complicated projects, we created the Estimator position to better service our customers.  Brian's background made him an obvious choice for this new position.

Brad Wood

Service Professional

Brad has had a hammer in his hand since he was in high school. He has owned construction and drywall companies in the past and is a very talented drywall finisher. Brad pays attention to detail, resulting in many of his customers adding more work and requesting him for future work. Brad’s many years in the trades has given him exposure and experience in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, exterior trim, and much, much more.

Jeremy Fabry II

Jeremy grew up in the Western Wayne County area and has several years experience in the Maintenance, Repair, and Remodeling fields.  He is very friendly and outgoing and enjoys making his customers happy.

Kirk Williams

Service Professional

Kirk is an energetic and talented craftsman with the unique ability to listen and understand our customers wants and needs. Kirk’s talents include carpentry, trim carpentry, pluming, electrical, drywall repair, painting, and tile work. When Kirk is not working he enjoys spending time hunting, boating, and improvements on his own home.

Loren Tyra

Loren is a very friendly and outgoing Technician and has many customers request him personally. Loren grew up in the Ann Arbor areas and has been in the maintenance/repair and construction industry his entire adult life. Loren is a true problem-solver and is always up for any challenge.

Sean Mahoney

Service Professional

Sean is a very talented Service Professional with an incredible work ethic.  He never slows down.  Sean's skillset is immense, so he can take on any task you throw at him whether it be Plumbing, Electrical, Painting, Drywall, Carpentry, Trim Carpentry, or Remodeling.  In his short time with our company, he already has many customers requesting him for their projects.
